(Amin’s Analysis: A terrific non-stop action packed match as everyone worked really hard as there were some great sequences and close calls leading to the finish. It will be interesting to see where Storm goes from here as there were teases of a potential heel turn. I could see Storm getting another match with Niven taking the pin. I could also see Niven getting back in the title picture and being the one to dethrone Ray.)

WINNER: TYLER BATE (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2)

Bate posed on the turnbuckle as Triple H, Johnny Saint and William Regal were shown in the balcony applauding and giving both Bate and Devlin a standing ovation.

(Amin’s Analysis: This was just a tremendous match between two amazing wrestlers as Bate and Devlin worked just an incredible match which had some amazing counters and sequences leading to the finish. Bate and Devlin should be higher on the card for their level of talent and I would like to see them play a bigger role on NXT brand. If would be disappointing if both Bate and Devlin aren’t featured on the upcoming WWE Worlds Collide event.)

WINNERS: MARK COFFEY WOLFGANG RETAINED THE NXT UK TAG TEAM TITLES (⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2)

(Amin’s Analysis: This didn’t rely on the over-the-top spot fest to see who can get the fans to pop in a come top me ladder match. Instead this was a very solid ladder match which had its fare share of creative yet safe spots as everyone looked very good.)

WINNER: WALTER RETAINED THE NXT UNITED KINGDOM TITLE (⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2)

(Amin’s Analysis: It dragged at points but this was a good hard hitting match as the story was Coffey being able to withstand WALTER’s attack. There were some good sequences and some close near falls leading to the finish. The fans popped and cheered but the problem was Coffey doesn’t play a babyface as you wanted WALTER who plays the heel to retain because he just much better wrestler and is great to watch. Overall, a solid main event match.)

After the match, Imperium posed as Undisputed Era came through the crowd and attacked them to a big reaction as the fans chanted NXT. Undisputed Era took out Aichner, Barthel and Wolfe on the floor before going after WALTER. WALTER tried to battle them off but was outnumber. Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly delivered Total Elimination as Adam Cole followed by delivering the Last Shot to WALTER. Undisputed Era posed as the show came to a close.

(Amin’s Analysis: This was effective and well done leading into the 8-man tag team match between Imperium and Undisputed Era at WWE Worlds Collide. I would expect Imperium to appear on NXT in the coming weeks and have a response.)

[Overall Thoughts] NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II was a very solid show which had some great matches including an early Match of the Year candidate in Bate vs. Devlin which is a must watch. They also did a good job building the WWE Worlds Collide event between NXT and NXT UK. Overall, a thumbs up show
