  • Amin’s Analysis: Really wanted to see Cole become the NXT Champion but I have no complains because this match was outstanding and the post-match with Ciampa was emotional to watch and heartwarming. This was an incredible match and everything from start to finish was picture perfect. The first two falls were very good but the match peaked in the third fall and that’s when this match turned into an instant classic. Gargano is an incredible wrestler and has to be inconsideration for the best WWE performer of all-time. Adam Cole was amazing and is one of the best wrestlers in the world. I’ve been watching WWE since 1997 and  I’m going to make the case and say this was the best WWE / NXT match I’ve ever seen. The final 10 minutes of the match were ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE to watch as I was jumping up and down for every near fall at the end. I don’t know if it will win Wrestling Observer for Match of the Year but will get votes and has to be in consideration.

NXT TakeOver: New York was a fantastic show and has be in the running for the best WWE show off all-time. I also want to give a shoutout to Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuiness and Percy Watson as they were terrific on the show and are my favourite pro-wrestling commentary team. The show gets two thumbs up and if you’re a fan of professional wrestling I would highly recommend you watch this show.
